Maintaining Company culture is a major part of human resource development. Company culture can be defined as the values, beliefs, and attitudes that serve as guiding principles for everyone in an organization." However, as your firm grows rapidly, it might be difficult to maintain that culture, which can have a detrimental impact on the entire organization. According to Harvard Business review company culture is everyone’s responsibility. The CEO directs the human resources department to create a successful corporate culture. HR creates a campaign to promote the mission statement, and key values set by the CEO and senior management (Yohn, 2021).

Company Culture should be adaptable to its environment changes. When company is going with a growing phase maintaining company culture is challenging. In there, maintaining culture throughout organizational expansion can be difficult for a variety of reasons, notably in terms of people. As your team grows, the possibilities of new hiring that do not mesh with your company's values and culture rise. There's also the communication aspect. The more people you add to an organization, the more communication channels information and cultural efforts must pass through, which can result in things getting lost in translation (deBara, 2021). Accordingly, under the covid 19 pandemic most of the companies have adapt their culture to that environment (Yohn, 2021)

 

There are 4 ways maintain a company culture when the company is growing. There are,

 

1.     Clearly define the company culture: Clearly outlining the values, ideas, and attitudes that comprise your company culture will allow you to continue to priorities those values, beliefs, and attitudes as your firm expands.

2.     Incorporate your company's culture into the onboarding process.

3.     Consider employing a culture manager.

4.     Talk with the employees,

 

The approach of newly forming a company culture is totally different to above. It is having few steps. They are,

1.     Defining and communication of core values of the company.

2.     Hire effectively

3.     Communication with transparency

4.     Encouraging team collaboration

5.     Initiate rewards programs

6.     Invest in employee development

7.     Balance the flexibility and adaptability of the culture.

 

 


 

Conclusion

It is necessary to maintain a strong company culture for employee satisfaction and productivity. Clearly defining values, integrating culture into onboarding, and fostering open communication are key strategies. And, hiring people who align with these values and investing in employee development can build up culture. By prioritizing these practices, companies can ensure their culture adapts to changes while keeping employees engaged and committed, leading to better retention and overall success.
